Silver Bear Group Certifications

Silver Bear Group is pleased to have attained both diversity and functional certifications.

Diversity Certifications

The Small Business Act authorized contracting officers to specifically limit, or set aside certain requirements for competition solely among women-owned small businesses (WOSBs). This is referred to as the SBA WOSB Program or the 8m program. Silver Bear Group is certified as a WOSB, and an EDWOSB, an economically-disadvantaged small business concern that is at least 51 percent directly and unconditionally owned and controlled by one or more women who are citizens of the United States.

The State of Texas Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) program encourages and effectively promotes the use of minority and woman-owned businesses in the State's procurement activities. Silver Bear Group has been certified as a HUB, a for-profit business, recognized under the laws of the State of Texas, that is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a minority and/or a woman.

Silver Bear Group is a certified Preferred Vendor with Chickasaw Nation. Through the Preferred Vendor Program, Chickasaw Nation strives to increase the business opportunities for qualified Chickasaw citizen-owned business enterprises and those of other qualified minorities. The program recognizes and supports the entrepreneurial efforts of the citizens of the Chickasaw Nation.

Functional Certifications

Key personnel at Silver Bear Group have been certified in Human Performance Improvement byATD. This certification ensures that our consultants understand the complex field of human performance improvement and know how to apply its key principles, the ATD HPI Model, and the Performance DNA methodology to analyze performance, and select and implement solutions that close performance gaps to improve business results. Dr. Karen McGraw also has completed requirements for designation by ATD  as a Master Performance Consultant.

Silver Bear Group developed and has certified key personnel in the EASE Change Management Methodology. This methodology represents a practical change management methodology that is based on the academic underpinnings of Kotter's model, but is easier to implement. Certification ensures that our personnel understand the 4-phased model and the outcomes produced by each phase, can use the toolkit of templates for each phase, and can guide and coach clients in the model's use.
